First produced: in 1999 by the Barkers (VPI)
Genetics: recessive color- and patternmutation
Clown is a recessive pattern mutation. It messes up
the
pattern severally. There are reduced Clowns with
only a messy stripe on the back
but there are also
Clowns with a lot of speckles and striping on the
lateral
sides. Personally we prefer the messier ones.
We have a Bell Pastel 100% het. Clown
male and two
100% het. Clown females so hopefully we breed our
own Pastel Clown
in a few years. Our het. Clowns
were fathered by a VPI Clown.
